2020 Through Her Eyes
A very special showcase 'Through Her Eyes' was hosted in Brewery Lane Theatre Saturday March 7th, 2020 just before lockdown to celebrate International Women's Day weekend. Directed by Breege Phelan the showcase featured a collective of amazing creative women from Carrick on Suir, the Suir Valley Region and beyond, who came together to bring us an incredible evening of original empowering music blended with pop-up drama, interpretive ballet, inspiring and liberating spoken word, infused with soulful, awakening covers, all blanketed by an exhilarating visual arts exhibition! This 17 piece performing arts ensemble featured Breege Phelan, Caoileann O'Mahony, Marie & Holly Sweeney, Kate McDonald, Ashling & Saoirse Cummins, Raika Tienert, Annie O'Keeffe, Heather Comerford, Theresa Jones, Bernie Condon, Mawie Barrett, Eileen Acheson, Mary McGrath, Joelene Lyons and Margaret O'Brien along with a stimulating exhibition showcasing the creative works by amazing visual artists from the Hub curated by Mia Carney and Renée Ní Gig. This special event, co-produced by the Tudor Artisan Hub and Writing Changes Lives was initiated to help raise funds for renovation work in the Tudor Artisan Hub - Arts Collective.
