Slideshow of images capturing the 'Dear Diary' Exhibition by Sheila Wood
Audio File for Dear Diary Exhibition
As part of a doctoral research by Marie Walsh, LIT Clonmel on how women recover from cancer, one of the participants unexpectedly arrived with a diary, which tells the story of her year and a half journey from cancer diagnosis to recovery. Marie Walsh commissioned artist Sheila Wood to create visuals from these diaries. Using watercolour, charcoal, oils and mixed media - Sheila magically brought the significant moments of that emotional journey to life. We created an audio file to fit with the exhibition, bringing together a theatre piece, which was in display in the Hub for 2 weeks. The result was very powerful.
