2017 If these Chairs could talk
'If These Chairs Could Talk – The Art of Storytelling' This art installation project was a collaboration between visual artists and local creative writers – where the Visual meets the Verbal!! The installation initiated by the Tudor Artisan Hub was created for the Clancy Brothers Music and Arts Festival, Carrick-on-Suir 2017 in association with creative writing tutor Margaret O’Brien, Writing Changes Lives. Local artists transformed kitchen chairs into unique objet’s d’art based on Carrick-on-Suir’s rich heritage and culture. Local writers were then challenged to write a short story inspired by these unique artwork creations with little or no collaboration with the artist. The results were uncanny, unearthing some amazing powerful connections! LIT multimedia students Tom O' Connor and Ryan Burke recorded the stories as part of their internship with the Hub and Festival
