Carrick-on-Suir library is delighted to announce the launch night, on Wednesday the 22nd November from 6pm to 8pm, of a fabulous art exhibition by local artist Stephen Power.
Stephen, who has Spina Bifida, was inspired to create his current exhibition as a result of a personal experience with disability accessibility at a public event this summer.
The exhibition is titled ‘No One Left Behind’ and will run in Carrick-on-Suir library from Wednesday the 22nd of November to Monday the 18th December. Noelle Jordan, from Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Ireland, will give a brief talk on living with Spina Bifida at the launch night. The launch is open to the public and all are very welcome. Booking is advised - please call 051-640591, email carricklibrary@tipperarycoco.ie or speak to a member of library staff. Light refreshments will be served on the night.

On Tuesday December 5th we welcome Joe Lonergan, Callan, Co. Kilkenny a close friend of Stephen Power to the Carrick-on-Suir Library. Joe will be engaging with a number of students from local schools.
Stephen met Joe Lonergan who is visually impaired back in 2002, they shared a house together in Dublin for some time, it's always amazed Stephen at how well Joe could navigate the world being visually impaired.
