A dynamic independent Creative Social Enterprise like no other...
Steps from the Tudor Manor House, in the Ormond Quarters, nestled between two award winning theatres - the Hub is an Aladdin’s Cave of creative treasures, an eclectic collective of over 100 artists, from Carrick-on-Suir, the Suir Valley Region and beyond. The Hub retail and gallery spaces are spread over five rooms on two floors and is brimming with unique handcrafted products in a space full of character and charm.
Since opening the Hub doors May 2014, we have evolved into a dynamic Community of Artists, building up an extensive network of actors, filmmakers, animators, graphic designers, songwriters, musicians, creative writers, visual artists, photographers, cartoonists, journalists, and crafters all working together, supporting one another, collaborating on exciting creative initiatives with a positive impact on the Community and making dreams come true!
We curate and host many live innovative events showcasing local talent. We initiate pioneering, avant-garde arts projects across multiple genres and have a passion for helping our collective of artists challenge themselves to explore something new, together reaching diverse, new audiences. During Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the Hub took baby steps to turn the top floor into a dedicated functional, creative space for writers, musicians, artists, actors and film-makers to gather, collaborate and make more magic happen. There are plans to further expand this initiative, so stay tuned...our story is just getting started.
Lets' hear what our collaborators have to say about the Hub.
'The Hub is much more than a shop, more than an arts collective, Linda operates it as a portal to many, many creative projects and experiments in all the creative art' Margaret O’ Brien, Writing Changes Lives.
'If it were not for the pivotal role that the Tudor Artisan Hub plays, there would be no forum (safe play area) for the creative mind to exercise. It provides opportunity, availability and accessibility to people who would only dream on a small scale. The TAH opens the door and invites you in to try something new and in doing so, it allows you to shine! Thank you so much, for the confidence this adventure has given me, I cannot say how much of a difference it has made.' - Theresa Jones, writer.
